MARBC Annual Conference 2013

The first of its kind, a joint conference between the Michigan and Ohio Associations of Regular Baptist Churches will be held October 21-23 at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio. “Standing Together for the Gospel” is the theme. Speakers will be Pastors Greg Gilbert and Steve Viars. A Tuesday afternoon session for women will feature Dannah Gresh, of “Pure Freedom” Ministries.

“Standing Together for the Gospel” Conference. The Michigan and Ohio Associations of Regular Baptist Churches will hold an historic joint conference on Monday through Wednesday, October 21-23, at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo, Ohio.
Speakers. The speakers will be Pastors Greg Gilbert and Steve Viars. A Tuesday afternoon session for women will feature Dannah Gresh, of “Pure Freedom” Ministries.
Greg Gilbert is the pastor of Third Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. He is the author of several books which deal with the subject of the gospel including, “What is the Gospel?” and “What is the Mission of the Church?”
Steve Viars has served as senior pastor at Faith Baptist Church and Ministries in Lafayette, Indiana since 1987. His pulpit ministry and leadership in the church’s counseling ministry have impacted many churches in our association. He is the author of several books and articles.
Dannah Gresh is the founder of Pure Freedom and Secret Keeper Girl. She has been at the forefront of the movement to encourage tweens and teens to be modest and pursue purity. She is a highly sought after women’s speaker and author of the books, “And the Bride Wore White” and “Lies Young Women Believe.”
Children’s sessions. Deanna Miller, a missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship of Greater Detroit, will once again lead the Children’s Sessions (1st-6th grade) during the conference. Along with Biblical teaching, she leads the children in creative craft sessions. Parents must pre-register their children online in order for them to participate in these sessions. Nursery care will be provided by the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Business Session. An MARBC Family Session will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Ministry reports, the proposed 2014 budget, and election of the Council of 16 will be a part of this session.
Council of 16 nominations. Also posted with the Annual Conference information is this downloadable form for MARBC Council of 16 nominations. Nominating instructions are included with the form. The form may either be sent by regular mail or emailed to Pastor Aaron Hadley, MARBC Council of 16 secretary (Pastor Aaron Hadley, First Baptist Church, 124 W. Pine St., Edmore, MI 48829; email – fbcedmore1@frontier.com). Nominations should be submitted to Aaron by no later than October 10.
