![]() Midland Flood Relief Continues The MARBC continues to seek the assistance of sister churches to participate in the CPR flood relief effort led by Calvary Baptist Church in Midland. This relief will include both financial and physical assistance. Calvary Baptist Church is serving as the point ministry in directing that assistance. Mark Dickerson, Community Outreach and Family Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church, is serving as the liaison for coordinating groups seeking to assist the church in the relief efforts. He shares this update: ![]() “The past week has been a whirlwind of activity and a roller coaster of emotion for our church and community in Midland. Nearly 30 homes of church members and attenders have had significant damage due to the flooding last week. Damages range from sewage flooding in basements to entire homes being labeled as a total loss. The power of the water was amazing as we have seen homes removed from their foundations, trees uprooted, cars carried down river, and entire areas where the topography has dramatically changed in a matter of minutes. However, God’s power has already shown itself to be stronger! In just a week’s time, individuals, churches, and organizations mobilized to offer help. Food, cleaning supplies, diapers, clothing, toiletries, fans, dehumidifiers, finances, and manpower converged on Midland in a miraculous way. God has orchestrated people and provisions to come alongside those who were struggling, hurting, and broken. God has allowed the gospel and the testimony of His people to shine brightly in the darkness. It is exciting to know that people have found peace, hope and love as they have trusted Jesus as their Savior during this difficult time. ![]() We are so thankful for other churches and organizations who have prayed for us, helped financially, and sent work teams. So far, over twenty different churches have already partnered with us to meet these needs and live out the gospel. Praise the Lord! We continue to pray for spiritual life and growth, provision of needs, and wisdom as the recovery process continues and the rebuilding phase begins.” Please contact Mark to learn how you may provide physical assistance.
